Hello!

I have lived in Houston for 27 years, in Huntwick for 18 and in Champions for 9. My husband, Jeff and I have been married for 29 years and have 2 children, Sean (26) working in Charlotte, NC, and Charlotte (23) graduating from college in May, 2026.
I was an attorney in New Orleans for many years before moving to Houston and starting a family. Since then, I have been actively involved in the community as a volunteer. I have worked at my church with youth, worked in my neighborhood with swim team and community event planning, worked as chair of a capital campaign, gala head and board member for my children’s school, and served on the board of our local National Charity League and as President of that chapter in 2021.
The aftermath of the election of 2020 motivated me to use my time to learn more about local elections and I began serving as an election clerk and judge.
When my precinct chair position became open, I was appointed by the party after interviews and approval with the vacancy committee for the Harris County GOP. I have been serving as your precinct chair for a year and look forward to serving for many years.
I currently have a challenger and you will see my name on the ballot in the March 3, 2026 primary election – I would greatly appreciate your vote! I never imagined this job leading to a “campaign” but here we are.
I have beenendorsed by retiring State House Rep., Sam Harless who served our District 126 community tirelessly for many years. I have also been endorsed by the current candidate for that same position, Stan Stanart.
Voting is a right and a privilege for every American citizen for which much treasured blood has been shed. I encourage you to vote in every election and in Harris County we have many!
I hope this site helps you find where and when to vote and along the way I will make my own personal endorsements. I endeavor to research these candidates and where possible, shake their hands and give them information about our beautiful community so that they may serve us well.
Kate Foster, Chair Precinct 451 Harris County GOP
